New Beginnings

New Beginnings

The Bible promises once we accept Jesus into our hearts and lives, we become a new creation. All things are made new through by redemption through Jesus, and we don’t have to be stuck in old ways, or follow the same sinful paths we did in the past.

For many of us, the month of January is an opportunity to reset. We may pull out the treadmill and put away the cookies. Perhaps we promise ourselves to journal every day, or to add a focused prayer session to our morning or evening routine. Maybe we go for something simpler—like choosing to smile more often, or to spend less time on social media.

For those of us who choose to follow Jesus, we don’t have to wait for a date on the calendar for a new beginning.

The Bible promises once we accept Jesus into our hearts and lives, we become a new creation. All things are made new by our redemption through Jesus, and we don’t have to be stuck in old ways, or follow the same sinful paths we did in the past. We are redeemed and made new through Christ.

If you’re longing for the kind of transformation that lasts longer than six weeks, then a relationship with Jesus is the answer.

God’s grace does not pick and choose who is worthy, but is available to all. You need only to reach out to the Lord in prayer, to pick up your Bible, and to connect with Christian community to feel the warm embrace of God’s love for you. And the new beginning found in a personal relationship with the Lord provides lasting peace, hope, and joy.

Titus 2:11 says, “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.”

Let’s pray about it!

I’m new to this and want to know Jesus:

Dear Lord Jesus,
I want to know you, and to experience your presence in my life. I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

I’m already a believer and want to feel closer to Jesus:

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for loving me so much You died for me. I want more of Your presence in my life. I renew my commitment to follow You, and ask you to transform my life one choice, and one day, at a time. Help me with my struggles, and remind me You are with me.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
