What Do You Want From Me?
Have you ever felt like you just weren’t sure what God wanted from you...how you should act, who you should reach out to, or what you should do next in a tough situation?
God asks us to set aside the lower points of our character when we take up the cross and follow Him. In the midst of life turmoil, it can be tough to know what to do next. God’s Holy Word, the Bible, shows us how to live.
Micah 6:8 says, “What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
God alone is our judge, and He asks us to treat others with fairness, mercy, and love — and to clothe ourselves in humility as we walk alongside him. When we are overwhelmed, and catch ourselves with the kind of attitude that crosses the line in these areas, it’s time to check our ‘stuff’ at the door and walk humbly in the path God has set out for us.
Share the story of God’s grace in your life. Vulnerable conversations like this shape and mold our character to be more godly, and it is in these kinds of moments God shows up and uses us to help change people’s lives by introducing them to Jesus.
