If you’ve ever been in a corn maze, then you know how easy it is to get lost amid the tall, dry stalks of corn.
Standing outside the maze, map in hand, it seems simple enough to navigate the twists and turns. A bird’s eye view of the scarecrow or pumpkin or Autumn leaf carved into the field gives a clear picture of the puzzle; once inside the maze though, finding your way becomes more challenging.
Life feels like that sometimes...the twists and turns of our circumstances leave us unsure which way to go, or whether we’re on the wrong path entirely. It’s easy to lose perspective when we’re overwhelmed by the challenges we face and the obstacles in our path, unsure which branch to follow next.
Matthew 7:7 tells us, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
On the journey of life, faith in God is the map that guides our footsteps, brings us back to the path when we stray off course, and gives us the courage to keep going.
From the ground, our circumstances feel overwhelming and confusing. With higher perspective, the picture becomes more clear.
How incredible to know we have an open invitation to seek assistance from the King of Kings! When you are frustrated, disappointed, afraid, unsure, angry or dismayed or lost — just stop, and seek God before you take another step.
God will guide your footsteps, open doors, and show you the way — you just have to ask.
Approach the cross with confidence, knowing God wants to hear from you, and has promised to answer your questions and your prayers.
